Commissioner Lucia Marini and Marshal Valenti, having meticulously organized discreet, undercover patrols, found themselves at a decisive moment in their investigation. One evening, as twilight settled over the landscape of Corenno Plinio, they noticed a suspicious figure entering the castle through a door that was not easily visible, hidden behind a rocky outcrop.
Valenti: “Look there, Commissioner! Someone’s entering the castle through that hidden door.”
Lucia: “Yes, I see it. This could be our opportunity. We need to decide quickly what to do.”
Valenti: “I suggest we follow him inside. If that door wasn’t locked, it could mean there are other surprises inside the castle. We should take advantage of this chance while we can.”
Lucia: “I agree. But let’s proceed with caution. We don’t know what or who we’ll find inside. The other officers will stay here to guard the door so we have a way out and to prevent anyone else from following him or catching us by surprise.”

Lucia: “Marshal, do you hear that noise? It seems to be coming from over there.”
