These objects are made from fabrics of all kinds, carefully cut and assembled to create three-dimensional artefacts.

The shapes, tailoring and decorative motifs are almost infinite, varying and evolving over the centuries. Often, these artifacts include different materials, such as umbrella and fan ribs or bead and stone decorations on clothing.

The restoration of clothing and accessories, therefore, is extremely diversified and requires specific solutions for each piece.

A fundamental phase of the restoration is the study of the techniques of working the basic fabric, of the tailoring assembly, and a preliminary analysis of the state of conservation.

Subsequently, we proceed with the planning of the intervention and the careful choice of the materials to be used.

During the restoration of antique clothing and accessories, the most suitable conservation techniques are applied to preserve the integrity of the artefact and, finally, in agreement with the owner, the most appropriate display system is defined.
