ABS, in granules or ground, is a polymer, based on acrylonitrile, butadiene and styrene in the form of a composite, in which an elastomeric phase (polybutadiene) is finely divided into a thermoplastic phase, very impact resistant, rigid, has a fine surface, but weatherproof resistance (degraded by sunlight). 

Available with different combinations of properties, modifying the quantitative ratios of the constituent components and varying the degree of polymerization, the chemical bond between the two phases, etc.
