Signed agreement for the supply of 875 GWh of renewable electricity, strengthening the commitment to reduce carbon emissions by 2050

TotalEnergies has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Saint-Gobain, under which it will supply renewable electricity to the French facilities of the multinational company.
The agreement will come into effect in January 2026 and provides for a total supply of 875 GWh of energy over a five-year period.
The electricity will be produced by wind and solar plants owned by TotalEnergies, located in the northeast and south of France, as well as in the Loire Valley.
Saint-Gobain will receive a continuous supply of electricity with guarantees of origin, certifying that the energy comes from renewable sources.
This renewable electricity contract adds to a previous agreement signed in June 2023, in which TotalEnergies sold biomethane produced at its BioBéarn site to Saint-Gobain.
"We are delighted with this new agreement with Saint-Gobain, which represents a sign of our shared commitment to decarbonize French industry. It also demonstrates our ability to offer energy solutions that meet the needs of our clients while ensuring the origin of the green electricity supplied," said Sophie Chevalier, Vice President of Flexible Power & Integration at TotalEnergies.
"In France, TotalEnergies has a renewable energy portfolio of over 2 GW, helping to avoid the emission of 800,000 tons of CO2 each year. This is a persuasive argument for our clients," she added.
Swaroop Srinath, Energy Purchasing Director for the Saint-Gobain Group, commented: "Saint-Gobain is committed to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. To realize this ambition, it is essential to decarbonize our production processes.
This contract with TotalEnergies allows the Group to take a further step toward this goal, ensuring a reliable and continuous supply of renewable electricity for our industrial sites.
Thanks to this PPA, along with other contracts signed by the Group in France, 30% of the electricity used in our French facilities will come from renewable sources by 2027."
Tailored solutions for specific customer needs
The agreement with Saint-Gobain follows similar contracts signed by TotalEnergies with companies such as Air Liquide, Amazon, LyondellBasell, Merck, Microsoft, Orange, and Sasol.
This further demonstrates TotalEnergies' ability to develop innovative solutions, leveraging a diverse portfolio of assets to support its customers' decarbonization efforts.
