The government has launched a new auction scheme covering 11 areas of the Polish Baltic Sea, with a total planned capacity of over 10 GW, in order to exploit the strong potential of the area for wind power generation due to favorable weather conditions.

TotalEnergies and the Polish company KGHM will participate in the tender and their partnership will build on the strengths of both companies.

TotalEnergies will leverage its proven track record in offshore operations, its experience in large-scale project management and its links with global supply chains. KGHM, as a major Polish state group, will bring its knowledge of the Polish market.

If awarded with one or more wind farms, the partners will mobilize the best resources to develop these projects according to the highest standards and delivery times, with a high level of local content, thus stimulating local industry, creating jobs in Poland and contributing to the supply of green electricity at a competitive price.
