Eni Rewind Signs an Agreement for the Circular Economy in Bahrain with Noga

The management of waste, water and soil leads the Italian player to provide integrated assistance and consultancy not only in the energy sector but also in that of the circular economy in Bahrain.

The National Oil and Gas Authority of the Kingdom of Bahrain NOGA and Eni 's environmental company will collaborate to promote joint initiatives for the efficient recovery of water, soil and waste.

In the presence of HE Mohamed Bin Khalifa Al Khalifa , Minister of Petroleum of Bahrain and President of the National Oil and Gas Authority of the Kingdom of Bahrain (NOGA), and Claudio Descalzi , CEO of Eni, an agreement was signed today Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between NOGA and Eni Rewind, Eni's environmental company.

The agreement, signed in videoconference by SE Naser Sultan AlSowaidi, CEO of the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) of the Kingdom of Bahrain and by Paolo Grossi, CEO of Eni Rewind, has the objective of identifying and promoting joint initiatives to the management, recovery and reuse of water, soil and waste resources in Bahrain , in line with the objectives of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development approved by the United Nations.

The signing of the agreement, which marks a step forward in the collaboration already started between NOGA and Eni in the energy sector, will contribute to identifying further areas of collaboration for the development of innovative circular economy solutions, in line with the three principles of reducing, reuse, recycle. Eni Rewind will contribute to the partnership, making available its environmental know-how, the experience gained and the best technologies for the management and valorisation of water, soil and industrial waste.

HE Nasser Sultan Al Suwaidi commented: «NOGA is pleased to sign the memorandum with Eni Rewind, which represents an important piece in the Eni and NOGA collaboration, providing for the launch of new environmental initiatives in areas of common interest. The initiatives covered by the agreement promoted by NOGA's Water Resources Management Unit are in line with our ten initiatives for environmental sustainability and integrated management of water resources. Thanks to the memorandum, Eni Rewind will offer NOGA the advanced technological skills that Eni's environmental company possesses in the management, treatment and recovery of soil, water and waste resources".
