Production of recycled PET granules in semi-crystalline version
Code: 11417. Material based on regenerated polyethylene terephthalate (PET), in semi-crystalline version and without reinforcements, obtained with the use of recycled contents.
This PET thermoplastic offers a balanced combination of mechanical and chemical performance, standing out for its high wear resistance and low coefficient of friction.
It is able to withstand significant loads even under prolonged temperature conditions up to approximately 85 °C, showing superior strength compared to other technical polymers such as nylon and acetals.
Additionally, it tolerates exposure to slightly acidic solutions well, making it suitable for use in chemically moderate environments.
Semi-crystalline recycled PET finds application in a variety of industries due to its combination of wear resistance, thermal stability and low friction coefficient.
It is used in the manufacture of mechanical components such as gears, bearings and slideways, especially where good performance is required at moderate temperatures and under high loads.
It is also appreciated in the food sector, for parts of machinery not in direct contact with food, and in the automotive sector , for resistant and lightweight supports, fixings and internal parts.
In the electrical and chemical fields, it finds space in the production of insulating elements and structural components subject to mild chemical stress, offering a valid alternative to virgin technopolymers, with a reduced environmental impact.
