Code: 10250. Supply of mats in sheets and rolls composed of recycled polyester fibers suitable for thermo-acoustic insulation.
Thermal-acoustic insulators produced with recycled polyester fibers represent a sustainable solution in the field of construction and thermal insulation. These materials offer similar performance to traditional insulators, but are made using recycled polyester fibres, thus reducing the environmental impact.
The process of producing thermo-acoustic insulation with recycled polyester fibers begins with the collection of post-consumer PET plastic bottles. These bottles are selected, cleaned and shredded to obtain polyethylene terephthalate (PET) flakes. Subsequently, the flakes are melted and transformed into polyester filaments, which will form the basis for the production of the fibres.
The polyester fibers are then woven or layered to form a non-woven material, which is the basis of the thermal-acoustic insulation. This process allows you to create a light, flexible and resistant material, ideal for thermal and acoustic insulation in buildings.
A significant benefit of this approach is the reduction of plastic waste and the promotion of recycling, contributing to the circular economy.
Thermal-acoustic insulation with recycled polyester fibers also offers good performance in terms of thermal resistance, soundproofing and is often used to improve the energy efficiency of buildings.
