Fiber cement, commercially known as eternit, has been widely used for the construction of roofs and the insulation of pipes, thanks to its characteristics of lightness and resistance to wear and corrosion.

However, it has been shown that the deterioration of asbestos products and the dispersion of asbestos fibers in the air can cause serious diseases such as asbestosis and various types of pleural tumors. As a result, the use of asbestos was banned and its production stopped.

It is essential to intervene to clean them up, thus protecting public health from the risks deriving from the degradation and abandonment of these materials.

To ensure safety during the removal and remediation of asbestos, it is essential that operators use adequate protective clothing, capable of isolating them as much as possible from the surrounding environment.
