The green roof on inclined or flat pitches is an environmentally friendly construction system that falls within the parameters of green building.

Installing a green roof on a building involves reducing the negative effects of solar radiation inside homes in summer, with a reduction in internal temperatures.

Furthermore, there is a reduction in the presence of CO2 in inhabited centers as this is partially absorbed by vegetation.

The green roof package also improves sound absorption inside and outside the building, with the ability to dampen ambient noise.

As regards the management of water and its saving, the green roof correctly uses water derived from atmospheric precipitation , in fact, once it reaches the roof it is not dispersed in the water collection system and immediately conveyed into the sewers, but passes through the vegetal layer, nourishing plant life, and then feeding the reserve water tanks inside the modules that make up the roof.

The green roof can be created on any load-bearing element (concrete, brick and concrete, wood). The choice of the vegetated system must in any case be adequate to the load-bearing capacity of the building roof.

Drainage paths provide a way to allow excess water to reach stormwater drainage devices.

The filter prevents any material from clogging between the growing medium and the drainage layer.
