It does not resemble an industrial workshop, even though the smell of metal, glue, cut wood, or melted plastics may vaguely recall a factory; it does not resemble a home, even if many of the objects come directly from domestic spaces; it does not resemble a museum, because nothing in it is yet ready to be displayed. It is a suspended place, an in-between zone, a territory that exists solely as a condition for the creative process. The studio is a world where thought takes form through matter, and where matter finds its voice through thought.

No other space reveals the complexity of recycling art as clearly as the studio.
