Class V0 ABS regrinds are plastic waste that contains an additive with fire protection of the best self-extinguishing class. In fact, to understand the quality of ABS ground in class V0 we understand what is meant by self-extinguishing class in plastic materials. The V0 self-extinguishing class is a classification used to evaluate the fire resistance of plastic materials, including recycled ones. This classification is part of the fire rating system introduced by the UL 94 classification system, developed by Underwriters Laboratories. Class V0 is the highest within the UL 94 system and indicates that the material is highly resistant to fire.
