Composting is based on the principle of replicating, in controlled conditions, the natural biological process of decomposition of organic matter present in waste, by environmental microorganisms.

The final result, obtained after a variable period depending on the method used, is compost. In this way, a waste from the production and consumption chain is transformed into a new resource for the initial phase of the agricultural supply chain.

Once the high quality compost has been produced, it is appropriately packaged and marketed, finding use in agriculture and the horticultural sector.
