How the electrolytic nickel plating process takes place:

Electrolytic Bath: The metal object is immersed in a bath containing an electrolytic solution that contains nickel salts. This solution serves as the anode, while the metal object serves as the cathode.

Application of electric current: An electric current is applied through the metal object immersed in the electrolytic bath. This current causes the dissociation of the nickel ions present in the electrolytic solution, inducing their deposition on the metal surface.

Formation of the nickel layer: Nickel ions, due to the application of electric current, are reduced on the metal surface, forming a uniform layer of nickel.
