The settling tank was built to be able to separate, by decanting, plastic materials with different specific weights.

Its operation works precisely on the concept of specific weight as the lighter plastics float on the surface and are directed, through rollers, towards the drain.

They are then directed towards a drained screw for subsequent processing.

The heavier materials, on the other hand, are deposited at the bottom of the tank where a chain scraper takes care of continuously removing the material.
