Fourteen peaks exceed this altitude, “the zone of death”, beyond which human survival is possible only for some interminable and frosty hours.

Simone Moro, an internationally renowned mountaineer, wanted to show the face of every side of these natural pyramids and brought back one by one the climbing routes and stories of mountaineering life spent on the edge of the abyss.
