We produce flame retardants for polymers free of halogens and heavy metals with low smoke emissions Code: 11586. We specialize in the production of flame retardants based on aluminum hydroxide (ATH) and magnesium hydroxide (MDH), two fundamental compounds for increasing the safety of polymers without resorting to heavy metals or halogenated substances. These additives ensure excellent thermal stability and are used in numerous sectors due to their compatibility with various resins. Their action is based on an endothermic decomposition process that, under the influence of heat, releases water and forms oxides, lowering the material's temperature and diluting flammable gases. Aluminum hydroxide is processed at around 200°C and requires energy to decompose its structure, releasing water and turning into aluminum oxide. Magnesium hydroxide, on the other hand, operates at higher temperatures, up to about 340°C, developing magnesium oxide and water vapor, with an even more pronounced cooling effect. This dual mechanism allows for the production of polymers that maintain their original characteristics while acquiring high resistance to flame spread. These retardants offer many advantages: high efficacy, low environmental impact, recyclability, and an attractive cost-effectiveness ratio. Our solutions thus offer a combination of safety, convenience, and sustainability, supporting the creation of materials that are safer for people and the environment. Code: 10143. We produce a complete line of additives for PVC such as flame retardants which have low environmental impact characteristics. The flame retardants for PVC that we produce belong to the following families: - melanin cyanurate - zinc borate - antimony trioxide replacement compound PA flame retardant composed of melanin cyanurate is a flame retardant that does not harm the environment due to its halogen-free structure. The product, used specifically for PA6 and PA66, gives these systems the UL 94 V-0 property. The melanin cyanurate compound, which decomposes endothermally above 320°C, acts as an inert gas source that dilutes oxygen and combustible gases at the point of combustion, while providing a cooling effect by absorbing heat from the environment. PVC flame retardant composed of zinc borate has a wide range of applications as a smoke suppressant and flame retardant in plastics, rubber, fabrics, paints, adhesives, pigments and ceramics. Due to its high dehydration temperature, it is used in the production of high-temperature resistant polymers. It can also be used in halogen-containing and halogen-free flame retardant formulations. The flame retardant for PVC and PA that replaces antimony trioxide is an innovative product that has a high flame retardant effect. This multifunctional solution is compatible with PVC and various polymer systems, including polyamides, polyethylene, polypropylene, epoxy resin, polyesters, elastomers and rubber. rMIX Ads: Offers/Requests | Additives & Masterbatch

Code: 10241. Supply of melamine-based flame retardants as additives in both virgin and recycled plastic materials. In flame retardant additives for plastics, melamine acts as a flame retardant in plastics mainly by forming a barrier of unburned gases during the combustion process. When melamine decomposes at high temperatures , it releases inert gases, such as nitrogen and water, which dilute the surrounding atmosphere and interfere with the chemical reaction of combustion. This flame retardant reduces the speed of flame spread and helps limit the flammability of the plastic material, making it more resistant to fire. Melamine-based flame retardants are used in a wide range of applications, including plastics used in electronic products, furniture, fabrics and coatings. They are often preferred in industries where it is essential to reduce the risk of fire and improve safety, such as electronic products, for example, they can incorporate melamine-based flame retardants to protect plastic components from possible fire or overheating. Melamine is known for its effectiveness in providing fire resistance without significantly compromising the mechanical properties of materials. If you would like further technical or commercial information on melamine-based flame retardant additives, contact our sales office.
